The majority of websites are content management systems or “CMS”. This will help to keep your website content up-to-date, giving you the ability to update or add website content yourself through your web browser. In turn this helps to cut costs for support & maintenance contracts and can also improve search engine page rankings by having regularly updated content.
The development of a CMS can require a lot of forward planning and can be very time consuming. This is why I have built a basic and robust framework that I use in all of my CMS’s.
Administration areas are just as important as the front-end and consideration for usability is vital. CMS’s aren’t always about having updatable content, the adminstration area can also contain facilities for; sending email shots, managing user registrations, moderating forum areas and much more.
